HISTORY: Photos by Reflex was started 27 years ago at Okemo, by Stu Currie and Dan Frost. Reflex quickly established itself as the premiere ski resort photography service in Vermont. At the end of the 2010/2011 ski season, it became clear that with customers' increasing reliance on their own digital images with cell phones and pocket cameras, there was no longer enough demand for Reflex's high quality, professionally posed and shot images to justify the high costs of maintaining a full-time presence, staff, and operation on the mountain.
This condition is wide-spread. Reflex was not replaced at Okemo; Okemo will no longer have an "official mountain photographer" service. Almost all other Vermont ski areas are the same -- there may be mt. photo service at Killington again for 2011/2012, but not at any other area.
TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY: Today, Reflex continues as a personalized, fully digital operation, ensuring the ultimate in photo quality, editing, and flexibility of products. With our partner, Digiproofs, we offer a complete line of photo prints, digital files, and photo gift products.
